Social network data: an asset for public health research

Epiconcept projects: social networks and open data diabetes
Epiconcept works with Inserm to identify tweets from people with Type-1 or Type-2diabetes. Its solution identifies patient tweets according to a database of Hashtags (#) and keywords related to the disease ; it also enables togeolocalize them. Then, it organizes them in an automatic database organized into "stress clusters". As a result, researchers can analyze the feelings and causes of stress related to the disease to define patient according to their type of diabetes distress.
