ELFE Cohort : System security director awarded innovation prize

Apr..2012

The network technology management magazine 01.net has awarded Sophie Brouard de Visme (director for data security of the Elfe longitudinal study) the 2012 trophy for outstanding Information Security Services Director. The Pandora information system, upon which the Elfe cohort data is stored was developed by EpiConcept as a response to a publicly bidded project. Pandora is an information system for which the database is atomized (variable identifiers changing as a function the individual, separation of identification data and study data) and whose governance is divided among several independent agencies. These methods assure complete respect for data confidentiality and data integrity for the next 20 years of the study. The design of the Pandora information system can be reused for other cohort studies.
