Training
Targeted to public health professionals, EpiConcept training allows the participant to acquire the basics of epidemiology, data analysis, or scientific communication.
EpiConcept organizes trainings upon request, on site or at EpiConcept, in that following areas :
- Introduction to epidemiology: basic ideas and concepts, statistical testing, comparison and causality, presenting statistical data.
- Advanced courses: scientific writing, rapid evaluation of the state of health of populations in emergency situations, advanced methods in epidemiological interventions.
- Analytic techniques: software tools for epidemic investigations, epidemiological surveillance, and time-series analysis.

About epidemiological courses
- Pedagogical approach: Practical training (learn by doing), alternation between short formal presentations and practical interactive exercises.
- Course creation and presentation by senior European epidemiologists trained at EPIET (European Programme for Intervention Epidemiology Training), FETP (Field Epidemiology Training Program) or the EIS (Epidemic Intelligence Service of the CDC).
- Interactive learning materials created from historical epidemiological investigative studies
- Work applied to the participant’s projects or those of their home organization
- Working languages : English, French, and Spanish.
- Small learning groups
